A step closer to Auto Pilot for your car

DARPA announces a new “Urban Challenge” for robotic vehicles.

Teams will compete to build an autonomous vehicle able to complete a 60-mile urban course safely in less than 6 hours.

The last race was an incredible success.

Five autonomous vehicles completed driving a 131 mile course over rough terrain. The logical next step is engineering those vehicles to drive in urban conditions.

We believe the robotics community is ready to tackle vehicle operation inside city limits.
