YouTube Tags Political Video as “Inappropriate”

Wasting no time joining those champions of free speech, Google; YouTube has also now gotten into the business of censoring political speech. But they don’t limit the censorship to China.

First amendment? What’s that?

This video may contain content that is inappropriate for some users, as flagged by YouTube’s user community.

Well the video will make you laugh or it will make you mad. Either way … here is the video … and the comments at YouTube are … interesting.

Previous: GooTube .

UPDATE: The point here is that Google’s history of censorship is spreading beyond China. Google censorship is occurring now on YouTube.

And I’m not the only one who noticed. And it’s not really new as the same kinds of things are also happening on Digg.com. Wisdom of the group indeed…

Google is also setting up a PAC which should help Google buy itself out of scrutiny by US politicians and bureaucrats.

  1. Ah, seems I missed the point. Heh.

Scary if it’s true, but I’m betting that the video was just flagged by one of the users. It’s a coincidence, sure, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say that it means anything.

    *shrug*
